Your use of the site is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. The fact of using the site implies that you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions, the confidentiality rules and online selling conditions when you make a purchase.

Paredes & Co. from time to may modify or make changes to these Terms and Conditions at its complete discretion. The fact of using the site after said modifications implies that you agree to comply with and be bound by these modified Terms and Conditions.

Please read the Terms and Conditions regularly. If you do not agree to any of the Terms and Conditions or modified Terms and Conditions, then you must stop using the site immediately.

In particular, we draw your attention to our policies relating to the terms of purchase and our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, you must let your parent or guardian know about Paredes & Co.’s Privacy Policy before you register to use this Site or any of this Site's services.
 

REGISTRATION AND ELIGIBILITY

To use some of the services or features made available to you on this Site, you will need to register. Paredes & Co. may change registration requirements or specifications occasionally. When you register, you are required to provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, current and complete. The purchase of products through Paredes & Co. is strictly limited to parties who can lawfully enter into and form contracts on the Site in accordance with New Zealand law. In order to make purchases through the site, you will be asked to register and provide your true personal details. Customers must provide their real name, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated.

When ordering items, you will be required to provide payment details and you must represent and warrant that the payment details you provide on ordering are both valid and correct and you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing information provided.

The site is available only to individuals and others who meet these terms and conditions, who have been issued a valid credit card by a bank, whose applications are acceptable to Paredes & Co. and who have authorised Paredes & Co. to process a charge to their credit card in the amount of the total purchase price for the goods which they purchase.

Purchases made on the site are for the personal or gift use of the buyer only and are not to be used for re-sale, commercial purposes or any other commercial benefit. Paredes & Co. reserves the right to restrict or question multiple quantities of an item being shipped to any one customer or postal address.

Please note that by making an offer to purchase goods from the site, you expressly authorise Paredes & Co. to perform credit checks and, where Paredes & Co. feels necessary, to transmit or to obtain information (including any updated information) about you to or from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to your credit-card number or credit reports (including credit reports for your spouse if you reside in a community property jurisdiction), to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions.

ADVANCE PURCHASES AND ORDERS

​

All orders are subject to acceptance stated above and availability of stock.

Paredes & Co. offers products for sale that are in stock and available for dispatch from our workshop. However we may occasionally be waiting for certain products on the site to be made for stock. Please note some items are held in stock but some are made to order. Consequently you may from time to time be given the possibility of making an Advance Payment/Order for certain items in which case you are able to make an Advance Purchase/Order. This will ensure that you receive this item when it has been made.

Your rights regarding Advance Purchase/order are the same as those for any other purchase at Paredes & Co. 

Please note items received into stock may be pre-allocated to satisfy Advance Payment orders. Customers making Advance Payments will receive items in priority to customers on the Waiting List or customers ordering through the Site for immediate delivery.

Please be aware that we may be unable to deliver selected Advance Payment merchandise due to production problems or quality check issues identified when we receive an order into stock. In these circumstances we will notify you by email and refund the Advance Payment to your credit card within thirty days of being advised that merchandise has become unavailable.

If you have registered your email address for notification of the arrival of a specific product featured on our website, we will attempt to notify you by email within 48 hours of the product becoming available on the site. Please note that on occasion certain products that are in particularly high demand and may sell out during this period.

Prices shown on the site are in NZD and are inclusive of VAT unless an alternative country has been selected by the customer, as indicated in the middle of the shopping page.

The NZD price of a product displayed on the website at the time the order is accepted will be honoured. If you are buying from outside NZ, you will be responsible for any duties levied by the country or authority to which you have specified delivery. You will also incur carriage costs. The final price for overseas customers will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your credit card company processes the transaction.

ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR ORDER

Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is an acceptance of your order completion and the contract between you and Paredes & Co. will be perfected when we despatch the goods to you. The sale contract is therefore concluded in Auckland, New Zealand and the language of the contract is English.

We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorisation for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn, or that you do not meet the eligibility criteria set-out above.

Furthermore, we may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing goods from the site whether or not the goods have been sold; removing, screening or editing any materials or content on the site; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

PRICE AND PAYMENT OPTIONS

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Paypal, and debit cards. Payment is debited from your card when we process your order.

All transactions on this website are processed using Stripe, a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment.

To give you even more confidence in shopping online with Paredes & Co., we work with Verified by Visa™. This service protects your existing Visa card account from unauthorised use when you shop with us.

To use this service, you must first register with the bank or other organisation that issued your card. Once you have registered and created your own private password with your card issuer, you will be prompted automatically at our checkout to provide this password each time you make a purchase.

This means that even if someone knows your Visa card number, they will be unable to complete the purchase without your private password.

Please note: Your Verified By Visa™ password is not your Paredes & Co. account log in password. Paredes & Co. does not have access to your Verified By Visa™ password.

Paredes & Co. reserves the right to change the price of goods offered on the website at any time and without prior notice.

Paredes & Co. constantly checks to ensure that all prices shown on the site are accurate. It cannot however guarantee that no errors have occurred. Should an error in the price of an item occur Paredes & Co. will give the client the option of re confirming the purchase of the item at the correct price or of cancelling the order. If Paredes & Co. is unable to contact the client, the order will be considered cancelled.

TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP & INSURANCE

​

Paredes & Co. insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. You will be asked to sign for any goods delivered at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you.

CHECKING YOUR ORDER

​

You can check the current status of your order by signing into your account and selecting ORDER STATUS. Simply type in your unique order number we would have emailed to you, and we will track your order/shipment for you.

CANCELLATION & RETURNS

​

Whilst we hope that you will love your Paredes & Co. jewellery, items can be returned or exchanged within 14-days from the date of delivery and so long as they are unworn, undamaged and in the original saleable condition as when purchased. A full refund will be issued to the original form of tender within 14 days once the item is returned to Paredes & Co. and your shipping charges are fully refundable by request. 

It is important to note that in the case of a purchase of a bespoke piece of jewellery or items that have been personalised, we may not be able to accept a return. We will always notify you when we cannot honour our returns policy before shipping out the products to you and ask you to accept the revised terms and conditions.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

You acknowledge and agree that all copyright, designs, trademarks and all other intellectual property and material rights, all brand names, names of lines, designs, models of items, that appear on the website or in the domain name, are the exclusive property of Paredes & Co.

All intellectual property rights associated with items created in association with the’ custom made’ or ‘bespoke’ options are and will remain the property of Paredes & Co. Any utilisation, reproduction, even partial of the designs, models, brand names, and names of lines is totally prohibited.

You are permitted to use the Content only as expressly authorised by Paredes & Co. Any reproduction or redistribution of the above listed Content is prohibited and may result in civil and criminal penalties. Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent permissible under applicable law. Without limiting the foregoing, copying and use of the above listed materials to any other server, location or support for publication, reproduction.
